Belfast Telegraph 1915 - Sketch entitled 'Pride Before the "Fall"', reproduced by special permission of Punch magazine. The image depicts the Kaiser and the Crown Prince Wilhelm speaking to his army in the street. The caption reads: 'William, Senior - "There will be no winter campaign. The war will be over in October". William, Junior - "Poor old Father! He says that every year". In 1914 the Kaiser promised his troops that they shoud be "back in the dear olf Fatherland before the fall of the leaves"'.
