The 1911 Ireland Census has John living at 8 Hemsworth Street, Shankill Road, Belfast with an Eliza Cubitt, shown as Head Of Family, and a Ellen McMeeken, Linen Weaver, described as a Boarder. John, occupation, Labourer In Shipyard, is also described as a Boarder too

John joined the Royal Irish Rifles.

He was posted as part of the British Expeditionary Force to France on the 5th of October 1915.

John Graham was a Rifleman in 9th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles when he was Killed In Action on the 23rd March 1918 aged 33 years

His Will, signed and dated 6th March 1916 in Harve left his Personal Property to his wife Charlotte.

A Dependant Pension Application Form shows his widow as claimant. It also shows that she had remarried was now called Charlotte Cunningham

John received the British War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914 - 1915 Star

.

He is Remembered at Pozieres Memorial, France.
