Belfast Telegraph 1914 - The carefully selected lady signallers, who are well fit to rough it out of doors and have a thorough understanding of all branches of signal work having passed the Brigade Signallers' test, are an important unit of the U.V.F. Signalling corps. Several of the lady signallers are photographed ready for drill alongside the head of the Signalling and Despatch Riding Corps.
