Title

Weight and Sea'

Description

Belfast Telegraph 1913 - Sketch entitled 'Weight and Sea (Wait and See)'. The image depicts a character in a sinking boat, weighed down by a Home Rule weight, and sinking into an 'Ulster' sea. The image is accompanied by a poem which reads: '"Oh! Wait and see!" the leader cried in pride of strength and vigour, when down the benches green and wide you heard his henchmen snigger. But now the boatman changes tune, his strength is surely failing: "Oh! weight and sea!" he murmurs low, "I'm tired of useless bailing".
